BATTERY OPERATED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

You must check the health of the batteries on your portable equipment and tools.

Many lithium-ion batteries have built-in Battery Management Systems (BMS) to monitor various parameters such as voltage, temperature, and charge / discharge rates.

Check if your battery has a BMS, use the software or diagnostics function to assess its health.

Lithium-ion batteries have a limited number of charge and discharge cycles before their capacity starts to degrade.

Lithium-ion batteries can overheat or become too cold which can impact their health, ensure that the battery operates within the recommended temperature range to avoid damage.

Lithium Batteries

BATTERY PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE

Inspect the battery for physical damage, such as swelling or leakage, which is an obvious sign of battery damage.

Monitor the speed at which the battery charges and discharges. if these processes become significantly slower than when the battery was new, it may be a sign of reduced health.

Measure the voltage of the battery using a multi-meter, a significantly lower or higher voltage than expected may indicate an issue with the battery.

If you suspect your battery is no longer performing well, consider consulting the device's manufacturer or a professional technician for a more detailed analysis and potential replacement.
